Facility Manager

Bao is the backbone of our donkey team and an irreplaceable helper in every situation. As a true all-rounder, he doesn’t just build fences; he ensures the care and well-being of our animals with great dedication—from hoof care to equipment maintenance. He is the caretaker who keeps everything in sight and, at the same time, a calm and reliable companion by the donkeys’ side. Having lived in Aljezur for ten years, he knows the local conditions, the unique landscape, and the native flora better than anyone else. As a long-standing member of the Burroverde team, he understands the donkeys’ language and knows exactly what they need. Bao supports our team often behind the scenes—an often invisible, yet indispensable companion who is always there whenever he is needed.
