Spend a beautiful day walking with one of our gentle donkeys along the Atlantic coast, accompanied by one of our experienced guides.
The donkeys walk with you and carry your bags, while you follow natural trails through the landscape.
Follow the rhythm of the trail, breathe in the sea air and experience the coast in a completely different way.
Choose between two different routes:
The Cliff Path — 9 km · €70 per person
Our favourite route
Follow the Rota Vicentina and parts of the famous Fishermen's Trail, with your donkey walking beside you high above the Atlantic.
The route takes you through wild coastal landscapes, along beautiful cliffs and past spectacular ocean views.
At around 9 km, it is the longer of the two hikes and the more rewarding choice for anyone who enjoys a proper walk and wants to experience the Atlantic coast at its wildest.
There is also time for a stop at the beach, where you can relax and enjoy the Atlantic.
The Riverside Route — 6 km · €55 per person
A shorter route following a more inland path and visiting the Amoreira riverside.
Although shorter, this is still a proper hike, with uneven natural terrain and sections that require some effort. It is a good choice if you prefer a shorter walking distance while still wanting a real day out with a donkey in nature.
The landscape is truly beautiful , offering a different perspective of the area and plenty of time to enjoy the surrounding countryside.
Optional picnic: Make the day even more special with a picnic along the way.
Children up to 40 kg are welcome to ride the donkeys.
